DURNAN'S SONG
The other day I went walking to a place I haven’t been to for awhile
I found myself at Durnan’s boathouse, a flood of memories and a smile
The day itself was kind of foggy, a light rain was blowing in across the bay
The kind of day for remembering, conjuring up some old spirits that got away
And as I stood there listening I thought I heard an old voice say
Tell Billy Ward and Jimmy Jones that I’m OK
Don’t rue the day I passed away
And left them standing all alone along the shoreline of the bay
The other day I was talking to my Dad about the old Island days
When Hanlan’s Point was alive and hopping, and my Grandpa and his old clowning ways
Sometimes you’ll see my Dad at Hanlan's Point talking with people who have long passed away
And if you’re ever down at Hanlan’s Point, stop and listen one day
You just might just hear something like an old familiar voice say
Tell Billy Ward and Jimmy Jones that I’m OK
Don’t rue the day I passed away
And left them standing all alone along the shoreline of the bay
The other day I went walking past Bill Durnan’s house down Omaha way
They were taking all his stuff out, packing it up and moving it all away
I was left there wondering how time gives and how time takes away
And as I stood there wondering I swear I heard an old voice say
Tell Billy Ward and Jimmy Jones that I’m OK
Don’t rue the day I passed away
And left my good buddies standing all alone along the shoreline of the bay

DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT
You complainin' to me that you don’t see, and you just don’t understand
How you got no silver and you got no gold but you’ve got it in the palm of your hands
You lied to me when you said what you need was a sweet song so divine
So I play it for you and what do you do, you make it yours not mine
Don’t want to hear about it
You know it makes me so mad when you get so sad when you say you haven’t got enough
Then I find you at home and you’re all alone, tripping all over your stuff
You know there’s people out there who live on just air, and you never ever hear them complain
But the things that you do, the things that you say, are driving me completely insane
Don’t want to hear about it
So let’s be clear about it
I’ve got my own set of problems
Don’t come around here wasting all my time
Now you’re one of my problems
Spending time with you is such a crime of time
Don’t want to hear about it
I’ve got my own set of problems
Don’t come around here wasting all my time
Now you’re one of my problems
Spending time with you is such a crime of time
Don’t want to hear about it

Ain't It Funny

AIN'T IT FUNNY
Ain’t it funny
How the grass always finds a place to grow
Ain’t it funny
How the sun always rises everyday in a row
Ain’t it funny, ain’t it funny, ain’t it funny
Ain’t it funny
How a river always finds it’s way to the sea
Ain’t it funny
How time can be your enemy
Ain’t it funny, ain’t it funny, ain’t it funny
These are the things we can rely on
These are the things happening every day
These are the things we can see coming
But I never saw it coming the day you walked away
Ain’t it funny
How miraculous things happen every day
Ain’t it funny
How a baby’s first breath can take your breath away
Ain’t it funny, ain’t it funny, ain’t it funny
These are the things we can rely on
These are the things happening every day
These are the things we can see coming
But I never saw it coming the day you walked away

Pathological Liar

PATHOLOGICAL LIAR
So you think you know it all
And everybody else is a fool
You lied to yourself
Prevarication is your rule
So you think you see it all
And everybody else is so blind
You blinded yourself
Thinkin' that you're so self defined
So you think you've got it all
And everybody else is in need
You damaged yourself,
Riddled yourself with greed
Pathological liar
The irony you asked what it means
Pathological liar
Dichotomy, nothing is what it seems
Now it's too late to know
So you think you taught it all
And nobody made your grades
But you failed yourself
Letting your life slip away
So you think you know it all
And everybody else is a fool
You lied to yourself
Prevarication is your rule
Pathological liar
The irony, you asked what it means
Pathological liar
Dichotomy, nothing is what it seems
Now it's too late to know
Now it's too late to know
Now it's too late to know

Smell The Rain

SMELL THE RAIN
Another summer’s gone
Another day with less light
Got to convince myself
Everything’s gonna be alright
It’s alright
Another restless fall
Another sleepless night
Got to eclipse myself
Wound myself up so tight
It’s alright, everything’s going to be alright
It’s alright, everything’s going to be alright
It’s alright now, that I can smell the rain
It’s alright now, that I have made the grade
Everything changes, and still remains the same
It’s alright now, that I can smell the rain
Another winter storm
Hit me from behind
Gotta keep myself warm
Never want to be snow blind
Another spring is here
A lot more April light
Gonna keep it clear
Summer’s gonna be alright
It’s alright, everything’s going to be alright
It’s alright, everything’s going to be alright
It’s alright now, that I can smell the rain
It’s alright now, that I have made the grade
Everything changes, and still remains the same
It’s alright now, that I can smell the rain
Smell the rain

YOU CAN RUN (BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE)
You can run, but you can’t hide
Run, baby, baby, but you can’t hide
Ain’t any use in denying it
Ain’t no use in hiding it
Ain’t any use in running baby
But you can't hide
You had fun, with all your lies
You had fun, baby, baby, with all your lies
Ain’t any use in denying it
You made your bed now you lie in it
You can run and run and run but you can’t hide
But you can’t hide
The setting sun, is in your eyes
The setting sun, is in your eyes
Ain’t any use in denying it
You dug your grave, now you lie in it
You can run into the sun baby but you can’t hide
You can run, but you can’t hide
You can run and run and run and run but you can’t hide
Ain’t any use in denying it
No use in hiding it
Ain’t any use in running baby, cause you can’t hide
You can’t hide
You can run, but you can’t hide
You can run, but you cannot hide
You can run, but you can’t hide
You can run, but you can’t hide
